Mijn Stadsbarrel.
Stadsbarrel is a name which we give to our bicycles that we use as daily driver in the city. It means ‘Citywreck’ because usually these bike’s are rolling wrecks. They are around 5-20 years old and have a rough life. On weekdays people use them for getting to work or school but when the weekend comes the hard life really begins! People pack their bicycles with groceries for the weekend, bump the curbs and take their drunk friends on the back after a night of clubbing. But the thing is the stadsbarrel always gets you home.
The same goes for this car. It looks all rough and scarred but that doesnt matter because all the scars have a story. The best example is the bonnet (hood) it’s completely busted because I like to sit N chill on it with my friends or girlfriend. I don’t worry about it because this car is made to do the daily job in the most fun and relaxed way you can have it.
Also it’s my own little time machine. You get behind the wheel of this oldskool machine you are surrounded by a typical late 80’s interior. When you are driving on the road and there are some other late 80’s early 90’s cars driving next to you while Biggie pumps from the speakers you get the idea: Yeah I would probably drive around like this back in 1996.
