De zo geliefde Zuid-Duitse tuner Mansory heeft een divisie van Rinspeed overgenomen. Deze “Porsche refining division” houdt zich bezig met het tunen van Porsches. Gevolg is dat we binnenkort ook zwaar gepimpte Porsche’s van Mansory mogen verwachten, naast de reeds bekende Rollers, Ferrari’s, Bentley’s, Aston’s en Mercedes SLR.
Het nieuwe bedrijf Mansory AG (Switzerland) zal gaan opereren vanuit het Rinspeed-hoofdkwartier in Zumikon. Rinspeed blijft bestaan als maker van extreme concept cars en zal zich daarbij blijven richten op duurzaamheid, alternatieve en innovatieve brandstoffen en aandrijfsystemen, diensten en concepten voor het aanpassen van de auto-industrie en particuliere klanten.
The Mansory Coorporation GmbH absorbed the Porsche refinig division of the Rinspeed AG at November 1st, 2008. “After the sale of the tune-up division we will zoom in on our core competences – the development of project vehicles and our services for the automotive industry and the end consumer”, reasons the Rinspeed founder and CEO Frank M. Rinderknecht.
The new established company Mansory (Switzerland) AG will be operating from the Rinspeed-headquarters in Zumikon based near the lake of Zürich. The main focus will be the development and the worldwide marketing of customization programs for various Porsche models. Furthermore Mansory Switzerland will take over the distribution of the customization programs of the Mansory Cooperation GmbH for Switzerland. This concerns refining lines for vehicles of Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, McLaren SLR and Rolls Royce, with which Mansory already made its mark. Hopelijk blijven de porsches gewoon rinspeed en gaan ze niet de kant op van mansory want dat vind ik er echt niet uit zien. Alles altijd zo overdreven gedaan. niks voor mij.

Ach, als de bizarre creaties maar Rinspeeds blijven. (Hoewel, Mansory maakt zelf ook vreemde dingen hoor) Welke titel er op een getunede Porsche maakt mij niets uit.
